Surviving longer in an arena game isn't really about charging at every smaller target on sight. A few habits matter far more than aggression.

Check relative size before engaging

Assuming a target is smaller without confirming it is a common cause of an avoidable death against something bigger than expected.

Stay away from the map edges when possible

Drifting toward the boundary removes escape routes that the open center would have provided against a pursuing threat.

Bank early growth instead of overextending immediately

Chasing every visible target right after growing often leads into a bigger, more dangerous player nearby that wasn't accounted for.

Reposition before the late-game crowding starts

Waiting until the player count thins to find safer positioning is too late - moving toward open space earlier avoids the worst of the crowding.

This isn't about having faster reflexes. Reading relative size and positioning wins far more often than pure aggression.
